Mathematics
Mathematics is more than memorization—it builds reasoning, number sense, and problem-solving skills through a growth mindset, helping every student succeed.
Math Assessments
The Kansas Assessment Program (KAP) measures how well students are learning math according to the Kansas Mathematics Standards. Students in grades 3–8 and grade 10 take annual math tests covering topics appropriate for their grade, from basic arithmetic and number sense to algebra, geometry, and data analysis. KAP includes both interim tests during the year and end-of-year summative tests to help teachers monitor progress and adjust instruction.
