Kansas education operates within a framework of state statutes, administrative regulations and agency guidance that help ensure consistency, transparency and strong outcomes for students. This section currently provides access to state statutes and will continue to expand as KSDE adds regulations and practical guidance to support districts, educators and partners. State statutes are laws passed by a state legislature that define how government agencies, schools, and public programs must operate within that state. In education, they establish requirements for things like school funding, student rights, curriculum standards, and district responsibilities.
