MIS and Student Data

Management Information System (MIS) (618 data) is the special education data collected and reported to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) as mandated under section 618 of IDEA. SPEDPro is the current KSDE web application used to collect 618 data. SPEDPro’s purpose is to serve as the Management Information System (MIS) for special education student-level data.

MIS Reports

Student level MIS data reports are not posted on the KSDE website. Data requests may be made through the Open Records Request Form. Please note: Data requests returned will be aggregated reports and may contain suppressed cells if the population in a given category is less than 10.
