Graduation

The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) provides guidance on Kansas high school graduation requirements to help students and families understand how to earn a diploma and prepare for life after high school. In Kansas, students must complete a minimum of 21 credits, with local school boards able to set additional requirements. Beginning with the Class of 2028, graduation expectations also will include postsecondary readiness, such as completing career-connected experiences that support college, workforce or military pathways. By understanding these requirements early, families and students can make informed decisions about coursework, stay on track for graduation and build a strong foundation for future success.
