Library and Information Literacy

Library and Information Literacy in Kansas helps students find, evaluate, and use information responsibly. With guidance from school librarians, students learn to research, cite sources, and think critically—skills that support success in school and beyond.

Standards

Kansas Library and Information Literacy Standards provide a framework to help educators teach students how to find, evaluate, and use information effectively. These resources support instruction in research skills, ethical use of information, and critical thinking across all subjects. Educators can access guides, lesson ideas, and tools to integrate these standards into classroom learning and prepare students for success in school and beyond.
