Higher education plays a critical role in preparing Kansas teachers by ensuring educator preparation programs meet rigorous state standards for quality and effectiveness. Through program approval by the Kansas State Board of Education, accredited institutions design coursework grounded in general education, professional practice, and content-specific standards.
