KSDE Annual Budget Requests

Each September, the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) submits a budget request to the Office of the Governor. That budget request includes a revised budget for the current fiscal year and an initial budget for the next fiscal year. All requests for increased funding from State sources are approved by the State Board of Education before the budget request is submitted. The budget request must then be approved by the Legislature. The documents below are KSDE's annual budget requests and do not reflect the budget ultimately approved by the Kansas Legislature.
