The ESEA Consolidated Review is the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Special Education and Title Services monitoring tool to ensure Kansas Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) are following all statutes as outlined in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act. All Local Educational Agencies in the state are divided among 3 cohorts, with the monitoring occurring once in a 3-year cycle. The following federal programs, as well as other applicable requirements and LEA demographics, are included in the monitoring process:
