Key questions answered about the 2025 KSDE Great Ideas in Education Conference

The following are the key questions and answers about this year’s Great Ideas in Education Conference: 

When is the conference? The conference will be July 28-30.  

Where will the conference be located? Hyatt Regency & Century II Convention Center in Wichita. 

Why should I attend this year’s conference?

  • To learn from transformative keynotes and interactive workshops.

What will be some of the key highlights of the Great Ideas Conference?  

  • There will be general sessions with esteemed speakers including Dr. Jane Groff of the Kansas Parent Information Resource Center (KPIRC) and Don Epps, superintendent of Pleasanton USD 344. 
  • The breakout sessions will cover topics including: 
    • Balanced assessment systems 
    • Quality instruction  
    • Cybersecurity in education 
    • Mental health and school climate 
    • Data submission requirements 
    • Collaborative sessions on fundamental implementation 
    • The vendor expo will showcase the latest educational tools and resources. 
    • There will be networking opportunities with fellow educators and leaders.
