FOR OUT-OF-STATE APPLICANTS ONLY

S.B.R. 91-1-203(b) allows initially-licensed persons to complete their required performance assessment (mentoring) while employed in either a State Board accredited school or in a school that is accredited by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the State Board.  The recognized regional or national accrediting agencies are listed below. RECOGNITION  OF THESE ACCREDITING AGENCIES IS APPLICABLE ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF COMPLETING MENTORING TO MOVE FROM AN INITIAL TO A PROFESSIONAL LICENSE.     The performance assessment required under any initial license (teaching, school specialist or school leadership) is currently defined by regulation as a district provided mentoring program that is approved based on guidelines.
