PD Plan Update on Jan. 4, 2023
Please use the PD Plan Template and Guidance for finalizing your updated plan.
To better distribute the plan review workload, KSDE has moved some of the expiration dates forward by one year – if they would still be within the five-year period after the Kansas State Board of Education approved them.
Several districts have reported that during – or as a result of – a Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA) Outside Visitation Team (OVT) visit, they were told that either one or both of their plans were out of compliance.
No professional development or mentoring plans are currently out of compliance. Some districts are working on compliance, which, based on KESA’s terminology, is “KESA Compliant.” If you are being told you are out of KESA compliance, contact KSDE’s Myron Melton at mmelton@ksde.org so he can follow up with you.
