Livestream

Livestreaming means broadcasting a meeting on the internet in real time so people can watch it as it happens. For the Kansas State Board of Education (KSBE), livestreaming lets the public view regular business meetings online, even if they cannot attend in person. KSBE posts a link so anyone can watch the meeting live, giving the public another way to stay informed about discussions and decisions.

The Kansas State Board of Education livestreams its meetings on the KSDE Livemedia YouTube channel, allowing the public to watch the proceedings in real time from anywhere.  All recordings of past meetings are organized in a dedicated YouTube playlist, which includes both regular and special meetings, making it easy for viewers to find and watch previous sessions.  This streaming setup ensures open access to Board discussions and decisions, supporting transparency and public engagement.
