The KSDE accreditation and design team has recently updated the 25-26 KESA Compliance Guide and wanted to make districts and systems aware of that, along with the updated sections (listed below). The revised guide is now re-posted to the Accreditation webpage in the Compliance section. 

The following are the Compliance areas that have been updated: 

• Anti-Bullying, p. 9 – The compliance requirements, found under the “In” and “Not In” sections, have changed from sharing your plan with KSDE to providing assurances there is a plan in place. 
• Child Abuse & Neglect Training, p. 11 - The compliance requirements, found under the “In” and “Not In” sections, have changed from sharing your plan with KSDE to providing assurances there is a plan in place. 
• Jason Flatt Act, p. 12 - The compliance requirements, found under the “In” and “Not In” sections, have changed from sharing your plan with KSDE to providing assurances there is a plan in place. 
• Dyslexia, p. 15 – The compliance requirements have not changed but how systems report compliance has changed and that is articulated under the “In” and “Not In” sections under Dyslexia.
