This past Monday, Sept. 22, was the deadline for all Kansas elementary schools to partner with families of incoming kindergarten students to collect kindergarten-entry data using the Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition (ASQ-3) and the Ages & Stages Questionnaires®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition (ASQ:SE-2).
All Kindergarten Readiness Snapshot data - including questionnaires administered via paper, pending Family Access screenings, and any child profiles noting the reason for not participating - must be entered into ASQ Online by tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 26. Review this tip sheet with steps to finalize ASQ data:
Once data is finalized in the ASQ Online system, it is submitted for the year — schools do not have an additional data upload. If a school would like to double-check data in ASQ Online, select "Reports" and select "Screening Status Summary.” Filter the "Screening Accepted Date Range" from 3/1/2025 to the current date, with no other parameters, to see all screenings entered during that timeframe.
Visit agesandstages.com/ks for helpful resources, frequently asked questions and the Kindergarten Readiness Snapshot Fact Sheet.
Thank you for your hard work to finish the 2025-2026 Kindergarten Readiness Snapshot. Participation rate data will be available in the KSDE Kindergarten Readiness Snapshot authenticated application later this year. Data will not be available before the ENRL collection window closes in October. Please email Amanda Petersen (Amanda.Petersen@ksde.gov) and Stacy Clarke (Stacy.Clarke@ksde.gov) with any requests.
