The following is a formal acknowledgment of service for three outgoing members of the KSDE Professional Standards Board:
The Professional Standards Board extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Jill Bergerhofer, Ms. Libby Schmitz, and Ms. Candace Landers for their exemplary service and steadfast commitment during their tenure on the Board.
Their collective contributions have significantly advanced the mission of the Board, ensuring that the highest standards of professional conduct and ethical practice are upheld across our organization. Each member brought a wealth of experience, a deep sense of responsibility, and a thoughtful approach to the complex and often nuanced work of the Board.
Ms. Bergerhofer distinguished herself through her judicious insight and unwavering dedication to fairness. Her ability to thoughtfully navigate sensitive matters has been instrumental in fostering trust and transparency.
Ms. Schmitz demonstrated exceptional diligence and a keen analytical mind, consistently offering perspectives that enhanced the Board’s deliberations and strengthened its decision-making processes.
Ms. Landers provided invaluable leadership and a principled voice, helping to shape a culture rooted in accountability, respect, and professional integrity.
Their service has left an indelible mark on the Board’s work and on the broader professional community. We are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and expertise they have so generously shared.
