School Bus Mechanic Workshop

The KSDE School Transportation Safety Unit is offering a five-hour informational workshop for any mechanic performing the Part I Mechanical School/Activity Bus Safety Inspection. This workshop is designed to provide information to assist ANY mechanic who performs this inspection, which is required by Kansas State Department of Education School Transportation Regulations. District Mechanics, Contractor Mechanics and local independent Community Mechanics are all welcome to attend. Class instructors will be Kansas Highway Patrol Motor and the KSDE School Transportation Safety Unit.

Date, Location and Information

District, contractor and local independent community mechanics are all welcome to attend. Mechanics will receive training on the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Appendix A, part 396 Minimum Periodic Inspection Standards as it applies to the Part I Mechanical School/Activity Bus Safety Inspection.
