CDL Proxy Testing and ELDT Theory Event

The Kansas Department of Revenue in cooperation with USD 379 Clay County, is hosting a two day CDL testing event. This event is designed for prospective CDL drivers. Registrants will receive ELDT Theory training, Human Trafficking training and take the CDL written test to obtain a CLP (Commercial Learners Permit). Prospective CDL drivers will be able to take the written test for all or any of the following:  

  • General knowledge test for a Class A CDL (50 questions)
  • General knowledge test for a Class B CDL (50 questions)
  • Written test for P Endorsement (20 questions)
  • Written test for S Endorsement (20 questions)
  • Air Brake test (25 questions)
Prospective CDL drivers dust score 80% on each test taken to pass.

$20 fee which includes snacks will be collect the first day
Upon passing the written test at this event, candidates will obtain their Commercial Learners Permit at a CDL licensing station. The standard CDL fee of $13 for the Commercial Learners Permit will be collected at that time.
