Reminder: Kansas Math Project provides professional development May 29-30

At the end of May, join the growing number of Kansas Pre-K-12 educators in developing students’ language, understanding, fluency, and problem-solving across Kansas math standards.

Developed in partnership with the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) and Kansas MTSS & Alignment, the Kansas Math Project aims to build understanding of evidence-based teaching strategies and math content knowledge.

  • May 29-30: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., Hilton Garden Inn, in Salina. Register here

Led by Kansas MTSS & Alignment math specialists, participants will walk away with the following:

  • A belief that all students can learn math.
  • An understanding of how Kansas standards progress and lead to long-term proficiency.
  • Knowledge of how to integrate systematic and explicit instruction to enhance learning.
  • The ability to use data to drive instruction and intervention.

As a result of participating in this session, attendees will be able to do the following:

  • Invest in growing grade-level content while learning alongside other professionals.
  • Earn professional development points towards license renewal.
  • Collaborate with other district leaders to develop a plan to scale the learning within capacity constraints.
