KSDE recently experienced an unexpected technical issue that resulted in the loss of Civic Advocacy Network applications submitted earlier this year. While the files cannot be recovered, we are committed to moving forward in a way that is fair to all applicants. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and partnership. 

New applications (schools that have not previously won) 

• If your school submitted an application on or before May 2, 2025, please resubmit. 
• If you saved a copy (PDF/Word) of last year’s responses, email it to jessica.dorsey@ksde.gov. 
• If you do not have a copy and wish to resubmit, email jessica.dorsey@ksde.gov to request a fillable application form. 
• Resubmission deadline: Sept. 30, 2025. 

Renewal applications (past award recipients) 

• If your school previously won the Civic Advocacy Network award and submitted a renewal this year, no further action is needed. To ensure no disruption, KSDE has automatically renewed all past awardees for this cycle.
