Summary of 2025 Kansas education bills provided

The Kansas Legislature passed a number of education-related bills during the 2025 session that are either already in effect or will go into effect as of Tuesday, July 1.

Some of those bills include SB 45, which establishes a four-year adjusted cohort graduation rate calculation for purposes of accreditation; and SB 114, that permits non-public and virtual school students participating in KSHSAA-governed school activities to participate in ancillary school activities related to the KSHSAA activity they’re participating in.
