Members of the Kansas State Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Thursday, Sept. 25, to discuss the process of finding a new education commissioner.

This meeting will be in the first floor board room of the Landon State Office Building, 900 S.W. Jackson, in Topeka. It will also be livestreamed. Click here for the agenda.

WICHITA – Rachel Marlow, a music educator at Central Elementary, in Olathe Unified School District 233, was named the 2026 Kansas Teacher of the Year (KTOY) on Saturday, Sept. 20.
