The KSDE Special Education and Title Services (SETS) team has several October updates pertaining to the Local Consolidated Plan (LCP) application, a meeting of the district foster care points of contact and the monthly ESEA webinar.
Local Consolidated Plan (LCP) application is due Oct. 15
Due to an adjustment to Title IIA, Title III, and Title IVA allocations from the U.S. Department of Education, the LCP application due date has changed to Oct. 15. Allocation amounts will be adjusted within the system by the week of Oct. 6.
You may continue to work on the application, knowing that the budget grid will need to be adjusted once the updated allocations are entered. Note: Updated allocations should only change by a nominal amount ranging from a few dollars to a few thousand dollars, depending on the size of the district and the grant.
Do not submit an LCP application until further notice. If an application has already been submitted, KSDE will disapprove for revision. Communication will be sent via the LCP listserv regarding updated allocations and submission availability. Contact your KSDE LCP consultant with questions. The KSDE LCP consultant list can be found here: https://www.ksde.gov/Portals/0/Title/LCP/LCPConsultants.pdf.
