By Amanda Petersen, director, KSDE early childhood
Engaging with families as children begin kindergarten supports kindergarten readiness and later student success. To advance kindergarten readiness, all Kansas elementary schools are required to partner with families of incoming kindergarten students to collect kindergarten-entry data using the Ages & Stages Questionnaires®, Third Edition (ASQ-3) and the Ages & Stages Questionnaires®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition (ASQ:SE-2).
Title IA program training will be offered during the first week in August to align the field with the Kansas State Department of Education’s expectations for the 2025-26 school year.
We’re just days away from the KSDE Great Ideas in Education Conference in Wichita. Join us at the Hyatt Regency & Century II for three days packed with innovation, collaboration, and inspiration!
