As Teacher Appreciation Week begins to wrap up, the members of the 2025 Kansas Teacher of the Year team wanted to show their appreciation for the educators who inspire them to be better teachers.
Members of the Kansas State Board of Education are slated to vote on updated state assessment performance level descriptors during their monthly meeting, May 13-14, in Topeka.
Action plans and improvement plans are required by law for schools that 1) operate schoolwide programs; and for schools 2) identified federally for support and improvement. The submission window for both action plans closes Thursday, May 15. Action plans submitted after this date will not be accepted.
