During the months of August and September, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) grantees must use any remaining funds from those awarded last year. KSDE is required to return any unspent funds to the U.S. Department of Agriculture at the end of the grant cycle as this can have repercussions on future grant awards for the program.
The KSDE Child Nutrition and Wellness (CNW) team will be hosting a joint School Nutrition Program (SNP) and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) administrative training, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday, July 8.
Schools electing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2025-26 school year must complete the CEP application in KN-CLAIM by Monday, June 30.
Body Venture is a traveling health education exhibit for K-5 students operated by KSDE’s Child Nutrition and Wellness team. It is a great opportunity for students to learn about the importance of making healthy food choices and being physically active.
