Final reminder: Educator Data Collection System (EDCS) in-person/virtual training scheduled for Feb. 5; final in-person training is Feb. 12

A training session is scheduled for Feb. 5 on how to submit the Licensed Personnel Report (LPR) and Spring Vacancy Report (SVR) in the Educator Data Collection System (EDCS). This training is geared toward “EDCS beginners,” but anyone can attend.  

This session will be offered via Zoom and also simultaneously in-person in Room 102, first floor board room, at the Kansas State Department of Education, Landon State Office Building, 900 S.W. Jackson, in Topeka.     

 

Note: The final EDCS in-person training for the 2024-25 school year is scheduled for Feb. 12.  This training will be 8 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, Feb. 12, hosted by Jefferson West USD 340, located in the Denison State Bank building, 3675 74th Street, in Meriden.    

Enter through the north doors (which are closest to the road and parking lot entrance) rather than the bank lobby doors (which are closest to the bank drive-thru). The number of training seats and parking are limited.  

Contact Leslie Bruton, leslie.bruton@ksde.gov or (785) 296-8011, by Tuesday, Feb 4, to reserve an in-person seat. Those attending the Zoom don’t need to register.
