The Training and Events page is the central landing spot for educators, administrators, and school staff to find professional development opportunities offered by the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE). It provides quick access to workshops, webinars, and resources covering topics such as child nutrition, data reporting, transportation safety, and teacher licensure, all designed to support compliance and enhance educational practices.
The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) will host an online informational session for district nominees for the 2028 Kansas Teacher of the Year (KTOY) program at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14.
The session will be led by Dyane Smokorowski, 2013 KTOY, and Samantha Neill, 2018 KTOY, who will share their experiences and provide practical guidance on completing the KTOY application, preparing for the selection process and what nominees can expect from the program.
This is a great opportunity for your district nominee to learn more about the KTOY program, ask questions and hear directly from educators who have been through the process.
