WHAT'S NEW ... Enrollment Handbook Available for 2025-26 School Year The Enrollment Handbook for 2025-26 is available and posted under the "Audit Guides" section on this webpage. The Enrollment Handbook is a resource to assist schools in reporting data for student enrollment in the KIDS system (KIDS ENRL). Substantive changes for the 25-26 school year are highlighted in blue.
Register Soon for Counting KIDS Workshops - First Session is Aug. 25 Plan now to attend one of the upcoming Counting KIDS Workshops presented in advance of the state's student Count Day. In-person workshops are led by KSDE Fiscal Auditing Director Laurel Murdie at 11 locations across Kansas, beginning Aug. 25. Who should attend? Counting Kids workshops are intended to benefit school personnel responsible for entering Count Day data. Typically this includes Board Clerks, Building Secretaries, Student Information System Data Clerks, Registrars and Business Managers. Remember - Since Sept. 20, 2025, is a Saturday, Count Day moves to the first school day following the 20th. Count Day this year is Monday, Sept. 22.
View the full workshop schedule here: CK_Workshops Online registration for Counting KIDS is required through the KSDE Training Portal https://learning.ksde.org Once logged in, select KIDS: Counting KIDS from the K12 Staff drop-down menu and then the "Counting KIDS Workshops 2025-26" link. Sign up for a session nearest you. There is no cost to attend, however, limited seating capacity exists at most locations.
