School nutrition program Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) training set for May 1

The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Child Nutrition and Wellness (CNW) team is hosting a virtual training at 2 p.m., on May 1, regarding the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).  

The CEP is a non-pricing meal service option for schools in low-income areas. Training topics include the following: 

  • An overview of CEP 
  • Requirements to operate 
  • How to determine whether sites qualify 
  • Frequently asked questions
