The KSDE Child Nutrition and Wellness team is celebrating National Nutrition Month® with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics during the month of March. This campaign started in 1973 as National Nutrition Week. It evolved into a month-long observance seven years later in response to growing interest in nutrition.
During March, National Nutrition Month® focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing healthful eating and physical activity habits.
This year's theme is "Food Connects Us.” Food is a connecting factor for many of us. Food connects us to our cultures, our families, our friends, and our planet.
