Career and technical education (CTE) instructors, coordinators and administrators are invited to attend the National Center for Construction Education and Research CTE New Skilled Trades Instructor Workshop Conference on Nov. 8 at the Wichita Airport Hilton DoubleTree.
Registration is free for CTE instructors and coordinators. Professional development credit will be provided. The Associated General Contractors (AGC) will pay for registration and conference meals, as well as lodging for attendees requiring overnight accommodations, for CTE instructors and coordinators. NCCER high school instructors who attend also will receive a $250 professional development grant for their CTE program.
The conference begins with registration and a networking breakfast from 7:30-8:45 a.m. Mike Gibson with AGC of Kansas will give the welcome address at 8:45 a.m. Beginning at 9:15 a.m., attendees can select which breakout sessions they would like to attend.
Dr. Blake Flanders, president and CEO of the Kansas Board of Regents, will serve as the keynote speaker at the 11:45 a.m. luncheon.
Additional breakout sessions, closing remarks and a CTE and industry employer networking social will take place in the afternoon.
