The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has announced a cybersecurity pilot program that will allocate up to $200 million to selected schools and libraries. Schools must apply and be chosen to participate in this three-year initiative. The program covers the following eligible services:
- Advanced and next-generation firewalls.
- Endpoint protection.
- Identity protection and authentication.
- Monitoring, detection and response.

Recently, K12 Security Information eXchange (SIX) conducted a webinar with Fortinet, "FCC K-12 Cybersecurity Pilot Program: What You Need to Know," during which Fortinet representatives discussed the program's details.
