AmeriCorps members respond to COVID-19 in order to meet the most critical needs

Six AmeriCorps Kansas programs, funded by the Kansas Volunteer Commission, have completed more than 50,000 service hours responding to the needs of Kansans during the time of COVID-19.

As many communitywide health, safety and education issues challenge the lives of Kansans across the state, AmeriCorps Kansas members stay resilient and active to be part of the solution. In Kansas, AmeriCorps members provided educational and enrichment programs to youths, preserved Kansas state parks, addressed food insecurity and implemented community restoration efforts across the state.  AmeriCorps members are answering the call to be the greater good.

AmeriCorps remains an effective solution for Kansas. Through service, AmeriCorps members cultivate real-world skills, foster civic engagement and make a lasting difference. The Kansas Volunteer Commission applauds the service of its members statewide.
