Instructional Materials Implementation Guidance

The instructional materials (IM) implementation guidance gives schools and districts simple, high‑level recommendations for how to successfully start using new instructional materials in any grade or subject. Each phase of the guidance explains its main purpose, the goals for success, and the key responsibilities for different roles, along with important actions that support those responsibilities. Because implementing new materials can be complicated, the guidance does not list every step a team might take. Instead, it highlights the most important parts of the process that KSDE believes will help schools focus on what matters most.
