Kansas Division for Early Childhood mini-grant applications due Jan. 5

The Kansas Division for Early Childhood (KDEC) is offering up to three mini-grant awards totaling $1,000 each to support innovative projects that enhance services and learning experiences for young children with disabilities and their families. 

The KDEC invites proposals that include the following: 

  • Services or learning opportunities for young children with disabilities and their families. 
  • The generation of new or improved practices. 
  • Staff training and professional development. 

 

Eligible projects may include: 

  • Academic learning experiences (e.g., capstone projects or dissertation research). 
  • Program-based research or creative initiatives that support children or families. 
  • Focused staff training activities.

The KDEC is the professional home of early interventionists, early childhood special educators, related services personnel, and families of young children with special needs in Kansas.
